Girls in ao dais, Ho Chi Minh City
I didn't see as many Vietnamese women in Ho Chi Minh City wear
the traditional ao dai as in the smaller cities. But I was able to
catch a pair of girls walking down the street.
Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi
Here I am in the obligatory pose in front of Ho Chi Minh's
mausoleum. Once a year Ho Chi Minh's embalmed body is removed and
taken to Russia for maintenance.
Market scene, near My Chau
I travelled out to the Black Tai village of My Chau, in northern
Vietnam. There I was able to stay with a family in a traditional
hamlet surrounded by rice paddies and water buffalo. This scene is
from a market outside of My Chau.
