Mural in Vence
After all the adventure trekking it was really nice to take a
break from it in Provence. The arts are on display everywhere.
Street market in Vence
A typical street market. Everywhere I turned were these
picturesque street scenes. Plus practically every restaurant served
just outstanding meals.
Church in Villecroze
Above the church door reads "Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite". Even
in the last century this was a risky stand to be taking at times,
during the struggles for Republic. In Villecroze, there was also a
plaque memorializing a member of the Resistance right at the spot
where he was shot by the Germans.
