Dancers at Banteay Kdei
I was wandering around the ruins of Banteay Kdei, when I stumbled
upon this group of children giving a dance performance. The new
government is encouraging the revival of traditional Khmer culture
which was suppressed during the Khmer Rouge reign of terror. The
dancers were quite young, yet graceful and remarkably accomplished.
Native Girl at Ta Keo
At some of the more popular ruins I would be followed by a band
of small children intent on selling me some native Cambodian
crafts.This young girl had a charming approach and an unforgettable
smile.
